MONTESEEL – WHERE WE KNOW OUR NEIGHBOURS

Have you ever heard the expression “Just being here makes me feel like I could be anywhere in the world?” Well, this is the expression we use most often living here in Monteseel where we are big on Community, children playing soccer in the park, walking the dogs, trail running, jogging, cycling, strolling, horse riding and skate-boarding; where children get to play in the streets under the watchful eye of the community at large. There is little we enjoy more than walking around our suburb in the afternoon and seeing others doing the same; children learning to ride their bike and Moms pushing a pram. “We could be anywhere in the world”.

Monteseel, with only one road in and the same road out is like an enormous, gated estate. Monteseel thereby enjoys a lower crime-rate than other suburbs. Monteseel is also a conservancy where fauna and flora are encouraged and protected. Positioned high up in the mountains of the Valley of 1000 Hills, Monteseel boasts fresh air, cold winters around the fireplace and hot summers without the humidity of the City of Durban.
